The giant Dutch festival Awakenings won't be happening this year despite being sold out !
It’s a huge bad news for the festival goers. Unfortunately, the authorities did not grant Awakenings a permit for this edition. Here is their statement :
With pain in our hearts, we need to inform you that Awakenings Festival will not take place this year.Unfortunately, the local authorities did not grant us a permit and our festival will be postponed to 2022. All ticket owners received an e-mail.We will be back together again..2022 is our 25th anniversary year and we have many surprises in store.Next month we will start sharing our plans with you!PS: All ADE lineups will be released this month so keep an eye on our socials.The Awakenings crew

Corona is no issue anymore in September so why cancel our fest because the police doesn’t have enough employees. We don’t need police at our parties and can regulate all things ourselves. where is the trust in us as a professional organization ?
This is a big hit for the whole scene as we were all hopeful about some events happening by the end of the summer.
