Brighton Music Conference (BMC) is set to celebrate its 10th Anniversary edition with a stellar lineup of events and pod parties. Taking place from May 24th to 26th, 2023, at the prestigious Brighton i360 beachfront complex, this year's edition promises to bring together some of the biggest names in the electronic music scene.
One of the key highlights of BMC is the opportunity for networking and connecting with industry colleagues. Exclusive networking parties will be held at various beloved venues in Brighton, including the Brighton i360 observation pod. Kicking off the conference is the official BMC Welcome Party on May 24th at Rockwater’s roof terrace, offering attendees a chance to network while enjoying the sunset and sea views. The party will feature music from Richard Earnshaw, Ridney, Ralph Lawson, Simon Field, and Sophie Lloyd.
The legendary pod parties, held 450 feet above the city in the i360 Pod observation tower, are another major attraction at BMC. This year, six special events will take place in the pod. On May 25th, Radio 1’s Charlie Tee will go back to back with Pola & Bryson from Shogun Audio, followed by Mark Knight’s “Where Music Matters,” celebrating 20 years of Toolroom Records, and a closing set from Alan Fitzpatrick. On May 26th, the iconic Carl Cox will deliver an exclusive sunset DJ set on the pod, followed by a special showcase from Steve Mac and Irvine Welsh’s new label Jack Said What, featuring Jon Carter, Steve Mac, Serge Santiago, and Irvine Welsh. The Baron of Techno Dave Clarke will conclude the 10th edition with his debut pod session.
Aside from the pod parties, BMC offers a range of networking events at various venues. On May 25th, attendees can enjoy the sunset sessions on the i360 Roof Terrace with Just Her, Kate Patrick, and Zoe Vice. The PRS networking event will feature Data Transmission celebrating 15 years, Enter Art Gallery showcasing the Simon Dunmore collection, and shesaid.so hosting a networking breakfast event in collaboration with the NTIA. On May 26th, Grahame Farmer will host the blueprint breakfast, providing up-and-coming DJs and artists with a platform to build their careers. Additionally, there will be events at Brighton’s beloved clubs, including Berlin, WaterBear Venue, The Arch, Oculist, and The Volks.
Throughout the conference, the i360 complex will feature performances by DJs from Gaydio and Toolroom in the iconic disco bug. The BMC Networking Hub will provide an opportunity for BIMM students to showcase their talents alongside local DJs and artists.
BMC continues to be the premier platform where beats meet business, bringing together industry professionals, artists, and enthusiasts for three days of networking, parties, and incredible music. Don’t miss out on this milestone 10th Anniversary edition of BMC.
