Exit Festival is inviting artists like David Guetta, DJ Snake, Tyga, James Arthur, Sheck Wes, and Metronomy to their space!
Life, adventure, unity, love, freedom, revolution, happiness, tribe, and magic – those are the concepts that EXIT Festival is celebrating after being in the industry for 20 years!
Pack your bags for Novi Sad, Serbia, because from July 9 to 12, Exit Festival is inviting artists like David Guetta, DJ Snake, Tyga, James Arthur, Sheck Wes, and Metronomy to their space!
But, besides that party, what we’re particularly talking about today is EXIT Festival’s initiative to help save the planet. It’s all about Exit Festival’s Green Revolution and pledging to embark on mass reforestation to help climate change, while still having a good time.
Let us introduce the concept to you with this video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=bphWUfH9R3I&feature=emb_logo
Green Revolution
Music has indeed shaped society, EXIT Festival taking advantage of being an award-winning festival to influence peace and freedom in Serbia.
The Serbian Government actually adopted Exit Festival’s initiative to go green, working hand-in-hand with local environmental organizations to increase the country’s reforestation by 50%. There have even been plans to increase Serbia’s forest cover from 28% to at least 40%.
In the words of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, “Serbia is willing to do its share to fight climate change. We are committed to European Green Deal and with the support from our EU partners we hope to accomplish this very ambitious goal.”
However, this initiative is not only limited to Serbia. The global goal of NET ZERO CO2 Emissions by 2050 is to increase reforestation from 30% to at least 40%, and with this movement by EXIT, that can be a move in the right direction!
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen even shared that the highest priority of the European Union is to currently protect the environment.
Just recently, Exit even lobbied for the Serbian government to plant one billion trees.
How do you protect your environment in your everyday life?
Life Stream
The colossal Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia will be packed with the best music from July 9 to July 12, but if you won’t be able to make it, EXIT Festival will be joined by Life Stream as well. This means that live streams will also feature footage of environmental videos and messages! This is something that EXIT wants to soon expand to working with organization where festival attendees can donate directly and as an open source for other festivals to also contribute to helping the cause.
EXIT Festival did originate as an event for social activism.
