Dominik Eulberg will finally release his 5th album called “Mannigfalyig” on 6th September via !k7 this year. He created a burning tracklist, based on the magnificent biodiversity of nature and at the same time it sends a message of the possible danger that we create toward it. It is a detailed playlisted, with lost of meanings, which demand a careful listening, as each track has a deep sound of electro, pop and a minimal infused of nature sounds in the background, which takes you through a wide range of emotions.
“Music only makes sense for me if it has something to say. And I have something to say now!” – Dominik Eulberg
Dominik’s opinion on his work is that it’s his mission to sensitize people to nature. Therefore he uses his music to continue to advocate the importance of biodiversity. Our nature is beautiful and diverse and the new Eulberg’s album is inspired by it, that’s why the title “Mannigfaltig” means ‘diversity’ in German. However, with everything that’s happening in the world, the threat from human behavior has never been more real than now toward nature, as more and more species extinct in such a shorter space of time, than ever before. The main message this record try to deliver is “giving our animal friends back the space they need.”
He got inspired for his new album while hiking in his home town and when he came across with a butterfly whose name was in translation from German “golden-eight”. During his walk, he discovered more rare species like the butterfly and that was the moment for Eulberg to realize that biodiversity is dying out.
Further, Eulberg uses his music like art where he paints with water-color across ‘the airwaves in soft tones and with blurred edges.’ His mix of the beauty of nature with the beauty of sound, the music will take you through ‘dewy mornings, spring afternoons and brightly lit forest rambles with a real deftness and delicacy, that replicates the majesty of the natural world in which we live.’
Moreover, Eulberg decided to collaborate with the most renowned nature documentaries, Jan Haft to make a music video for one of his single from his new album “Goldene Acht”.
The music video is specially dedicated to natural biodiversity, in order to match the main message of the “Mannigfalting” album.
As Eulberg describes:
“With my upcoming album Mannigfaltig, I want to mirror the endless variation of nature and highlight the entire color-palette of life. I could not imagine anyone more perfect to visualize this topic more elaborated and versatile than the genius nature filmmaker Jan Haft. I am a huge fan of his movies since many years and it is a true honor for me to watch his stunning pictures to my music, cut with so such a brilliant intelligence and sensitivity.”
Jan Haft is the most renowned German cinematographer and director, who primarily specialized in nature documentaries. Haft is also a long-time friend of Dominik, therefore he agreed to make his friends music video for his new upcoming album.
Jan Haft describes his collaboration with Eulberg as:
“To me, the seemingly monotonous, endless four-four beat of electronic music reflects the pulse of nature like no other type of music. Being a die-hard Techno fan I was more than happy to express my love for nature and my love for electronic music in creating a video together with technician and electro listener Jonas Blaha, especially as the video was designed for hailed DJ legend Dominik Eulberg who is a vivid conservation hero at the same time. My goal was putting together the mechanical dance of insects and other critters frame by frame and beat by beat to achieve a colorful mass choreography celebrating the amazing beauty of life and the joy of listening to Techno music and to Dominik´s ingenious new album Mannigfaltig.”
This record, gives out positive vibes, alongside with the amazing music video, which perfectly visual every small detail of nature, to mirror Eulberg’s vision on biodiversity.
“The most beautiful setting would be of course along with contemplative observations of nature, for that is indeed its origin.” – Dominik Eulberg
