Headlining the announcement is Overmono, the dynamic Welsh electronic duo known for their captivating live performances. Their presence adds another layer of excitement to an already diverse lineup. Joining them is The Vaccines, the acclaimed English indie-rock band, promising a set filled with anthem favorites.
Expanding the spectrum of genres, the festival welcomes Alice Longyu Gao, a boundary-pushing artist hailing from New York, known for her high-energy performances and unconventional style. Also making waves is Lynks, the enigmatic British dance act, celebrated for their bold stage presence and infectious pop sound.
Among the newcomers is English Teacher, a rising quartet from Leeds, fresh off the success of their debut album. Their eclectic blend of indie rock is sure to captivate audiences. Additionally, Dutch indie-rock collective Personal Trainer brings their rhythmic prowess to the stage, promising an engaging performance.
The lineup also includes notable acts such as Benefits, the outspoken punk outfit from Teesside, and cumgirl8, the New York-based post-punk band known for their multimedia approach to artistry. Brighton’s own Lambrini Girls will also take the stage, delivering their electrifying brand of punk rock.
Adding to the international flavor of the festival are artists like Gabríel Ólafs, the Icelandic pianist and composer, and Wu-Lu, the South-London musician known for his innovative soundscapes.
Reflecting on 25 years of fostering both local talent and global acts, Iceland Airwaves remains committed to promoting gender-balanced lineups, in line with its partnership with Keychange. Festival Manager Ísleifur Þórhallsson emphasizes the festival’s role in nurturing emerging talent and fostering connections within the music industry.
