Located in New York City’s Meatpacking District, Cielo is a Manhattan nightclub that blends modernity with retro style, a self-proclaimed “mature” experience designed purely for music and dancing. Cielo is an intimate space—holding about 300 people—armed with a Funktion One soundsystem and a specially designed sunken dance floor, decked out with warm-hued tones bathed in an extensive lighting system.
Cielo largely focuses on house and techno, but it has played host to all sorts of parties, including Francois K’s weekly Sunday Deep Space night focusing on music inspired by and in dialogue with dub, Wednesday’s house-focused Roots with Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge, and alternating special events on weekends.
