The FuturFestival was born in 2009 to commemorate the centenary of Futurism at the Lingotto Fiere , the organization is called to collaborate with the municipality for the celebrations of New Year 2010 and the celebration of the victory of Turin European Capital of Youth. The event will be held in Piazza Vittorio Veneto , with leading guests the Groove Armada and Juliette Lewis ; the participation of the public was quantified in about 7000 participants. The following year the festival will be repeated, again at the Lingotto, on December 7th, with the participation of Bloody Beetroots and drummer Tommy Lee . After a year off the concept of the festival is revolutionized, turning it into an outdoor daytime electronic music festival ; the same year the collaboration with the Turin clothing company Kappa begins . The first Kappa FuturFestival, organized according to the new concept, was held on June 30th and July 1st at Parco Dora ; main guest of the event were the Deadmau5 , Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim DJs .
