Static Delight Records was founded by Matt Moore and Stuart Kettridge with the help of Steve Reeve and Adil Meghji in 2006. These four individuals had areas of expertise in different areas. For Matt Moore it was his extensive experience in owning and promoting several bars and clubs within the UK and Portugal with a massive portfolio of worldwide dj bookings. Stuart Kettridge was a experienced dj and producer who worked and owned one of the biggest, longest standing record shops in the south east of England so had a wide range of distribution companies ready to help. Steve Reeve is a very talented artist who was and still is well ahead of the times with his very distinct sounding garage, dubstep and house productions and when it comes to piano or a keyboard he is flawless. Adil Meghji, as well as being well within the music scene, was highly experienced and talented in artwork and ideas who also owns a print and design company.You can now see why this was such a strong package for us and how it has continued to improve with fresh help over the years.
The labels first release came on vinyl called the Static EP. We all comes from a vinyl history but todays demand for mp3 and WAV left us with the decission to discontinue further vinyl releases. Our best charting remix was a dj tool that a company did not have permission to sell on our behalf and reached number 2 on Dj Download.com and number 5 on Ministry Of Sound which was called “U Got the Luv” and was wrongly titled as the Dj Rascall Rmx as all four of the original team sat there and produced it. Static Delight Records since then has become a larger team with several staff and artists on board including Mark Martin (one half of Studio Tan) who is now Static Delights A&R Manager and primary remixer. Mark Martin and Stuart Kettridge are also the production duo known as Studio Tan.
As a label we supply a constant stream of free dj tools and original tracks which you will be able to find on all the usual download sites. As a promotion we are based in the heart of Albuferia, Algarve, Portugal with several nights throughout the week in and around the main strip including Matts Bar, Kiss Club throughout the year and Boat Parties each saturday from Vilamoura Marina during the summer. You can also find Matt Moore around different worldwide events and from 2013 Studio Tan will be working with some of the major promoters and clubs in the UK.
