Insomniac events, one of the biggest EDM festival producers in the U.S., is beginning to embrace drug education and harm reduction.
This Halloween weekend, they debuted “Project #OpenTalk” at the Escape: Psycho Circus festival in San Bernardino, California.
This project is designed as a response to drug-related hospitilizations and deaths in festivals, encouraging festival production companies to have zero tolerance drug policies and entry searches. Those attending music festivals, like Escape, have “Headliners” where attendees can approach a booth onsite at the event and ask trained peer educators questions related to drug, sex, or mental health.
Ultimately, the goal is #SaferPartying.
How do you guys feel about Project #OpenTalk?
