Following the success of the 1st edition of the Clubbing TV Awards, we decided to once again celebrate the best creations beyond the music itself.
For this edition of the Clubbing Awards, our channel is featuring a list of 57 nominees that are competing for a total of 11 awards! Let’s learn more about these categories!
New Categories
This year, three awards have been added to the list of trophies that our artists can win. The three new categories include:
- Best French music video: Of course, Clubbing TV’s hometown is France. So, we’re encouraging you to vote for your favorite French video clips! Our nominees are 5th Season by La Fine Equip & Fakear, Cloches by Worakls, Condor by Thylacine, Run For Me by Sebastian, Tell Me What You Want by Marlin, and We Were Young by Petit Biscuit ft. JP Cooper.
- The next new category is Best dance music documentary : Picked by our editorial team, this selection will highlight the work of journalists and video directors in the dance music industry. The nominees for this category are “Carl Cox: Space Is the Place” by Resident Advisor, “How the Birth of the Japanese Audio Technology Changed The World” by Redbull Music, “Raving Riot” by Tate, “The Sound of NYC’s Underground Vogue Scene” by Sound Field, “This Was Tomorrow” by Netflix, and “Vice Guide To Copenhagen” by Vice.
- And the third new category is Best Clubbing Experience video: Because what you see should reach the quality of what you hear, Clubbing TV is eager to give you the best footage from festivals and parties from all over the globe. The Clubbing Experiences we’ll feature are Bob Sinclar Electrico Romantico at Heart Ibiza, Carl Cox at Family Piknik Festival, Lee Foss at We Are Festival, Matthias Tanzmann Elrow at Amnesia Ibiza, Nina Kraviz at KappaFutur Festival, and Steve Aoki at Nameless Festival.
Old Categories
Now, let’s get to the nine categories that we know from last year! The first being:
The Best Hits Music Video Award. The category name speaks for itself. Here, we focus on the music videos with the strongest potential as well as the most viewed ones. We also try to always be on the edge – discovering and pushing future hits that you can’t find on any other TV channels. The nominees for the Best Hits Music Video Award are “Don’t Call Me Up” by Mabel, “Here with Me” by Marshmello, “Instagram” by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta ft. Daddy Yankee, “Joys” by Roberto Surace, “Lose Control” by Meduza x Becky Hill, and “We Got That Cool” by Yves V, Afrojack, and Icona Pop.
Next is the Best Underground Music Video Award. We love to spread Underground vibes on Clubbing TV, so, in this category, rare Tech-House, Deep and Techno videos are highlighted! Nominated for this award are “Breathe” by Camelphat & Cristoph, “Free The Society” by Ellen Allien, “Nothing To Lose” by Giorgia Angiuli, “Polymorphous Pervert” by The Micronauts, “Tawa” by Deena Abdelwahed, and “You’re Not Alone” by Agoria.
The Best Complextro Music Video Award is next! This is the most hybrid of our video categories, from dubstep to trap through electronica, bass music and electro with a big E – numerous genres rolled into one song and their music videos conveying that. Nominees for Complextro are: “Good Things Fall Apart” by Illenium and Jon Bellion, “Iconoclast” by Abrahaam, “Last Bloom” by Floating Points, “Lost in the Fire” by Gesaffelstein ft. The Weeknd, “No Fear” by Motsa, and “Redlight” by Nghtmre & ASAP Ferg.
The Best Going Deep Music Video Award is the next category, being the perfect link between mainstream and underground, with a focus on Deep-House under all its forms. “Blood On My Hands” by August 08 is the first nominee, joined by “Body Funk” by Purple Disco Machine, “By The River” by Klingande, “Rainforest” by Tchami, “Solid Gold” by Pnau, and “Trouble” by Bakermat.
Fo the Essential Music Video Award, we state the fast-changing world we live in through the internet and social media, but there are some essentials that stay in our memories forever. The essentials we appreciate are “Are You With Me” by Lost Frequencies, “Fade Out Lines” by The Avener, “Ghosts N Stuff” by Deadmau5, “I Got You” by Duke Dumont and Jax Jones, “I Love U So” by Cassius, and “Wake Me Up” by Avicii.
We at ClubbingTV really matter about pushing forward uprising talents, whatever their musical genre. So, that’s something we generate through the New Talent Music Video Award. The three tracks by three new talents nominated for this award are “A Little Bit Of You” by 2Pillz, “Matame” by Atonia, and “Narcotic” by Younotus & Janieck & Senex.
Slow down the tempo, get comfortable, and enjoy our selection of electronic videos, may they be joyful, sensual or darker. This category is a great remedy for your hangovers – it’s the Time to Chill Music Video category! The music videos you can vote for are “Alive” by TCHAKO, “Blue September” by Trentemoller, “I Need to Know” by Timsters, “Je Suis All About You” by Alice et Moi, “Steller” by Riviere Monk, and “Twist of Men” by Apollo Noir ft. Jeanne Added.
And last but not the least, we have the Highlight Music Video Award! Each week, we select one video you really can’t miss. Not necessarily mainstream but what we think is essential for you to watch out for. The nominees for the Highlight Music Video Award are “Aute Cuture” by Rosalia, “Miracle” by Labrinth, and “No New Friends” by LSD.
