As we hear on Game of Thrones, “Winter is coming!” and what does that mean for the electronic dance music scene? Nothing but a whole new season of festivals! Grab your coats, mitts, and beanies, because we’re gonna get warm, but still party the night away! Here are the best winter festivals you can catch around the world because the official start of the “ber” months starts now!
Caprices Festival in Switzerland
Let’s start our snowy season at one of the most stunning countries to see when you’re looking for a good winter place to go.
Caprices Festival 2019 in Switzerland is asking you to save the date for April 11-14! This event happens on top of a mountain in Crans-Montana, which is the home of a famous ski resort! Some of the event’s regulars include Sven Vath and Ricardo Villalobos. Last year, Ben Klock and Luciano were also there! The host of the stage of the 2019 edition is none other than party brand MDRNTY!

Snowbombing Austria
Now, it isn’t a true discussion about a winter festival if we didn’t talk about Snowbombing.
They’re celebrating their 20th anniversary at Mayrhofen Austria next April 8 to 13, 2019!
As the organizers describe the event, “Established in 1999, The World’s Greatest Show on Snow is back, stronger, sexier, sturdier and downright sillier than ever before, with 2019 seeing us celebrate 20 years in the game! Showcasing 100+ acts in the most unique venues imaginable (think pop-up butcher’s shop parties, igloo raves, enchanted forest parties, Austria’s largest fancy dress street party) in one of the finest ski resorts in Europe. Luxury spas, authentic alpine cuisine and not a tent in sight. Chalet go on?”
Snowbombing is really known for their world class acts, incredible venues, unique experiences, and majestic mountains!
The event just announced the first part of their lineup, which includes mains like Stormzy #Merky Takeover, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Andy C, Bicep DJ, and Groove Armada DJ! They’ll also have staples DJ Marky, DJ Yoda, Jon Carter, Justin Robertson, Krafty Kuts & A-Skillz, Plump DJs, Scratch Perverts, and Stanton Warriors.

Tomorrowland Winter France
We all have heard of Tomorrowland during the warmer seasons, but are you ready for the Tomorrowland experience during the winter?
Tomorrowland Winter is officially launching in France in 2019 at Alpe d’Huez, one of Europe’s finest ski resorts in Southeast France. This will occur from March 13 to 15!
The theme for Tomorrowland Winter 2019 is “The Hymn of the Frozen Lotus,” organizers saying, “Expect the very biggest DJs in the world, paired with the unique magic of Tomorrowland – but this time with a snowy twist.”
Those already confirmed on the Tomorrowland Winter 2019 lineup for next year include huge names like Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Joris Voorn, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies, NERVO, Steve Aoki, and Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano. Those are already some of the most major artists in electronic music that I know, but the event promises more artists to be announced! Sneeuwbal Winter Festival Netherlands
And the final festival we’ll be talking about today is actually at one of the staple party places of theS world – The Netherlands!
Sneeuwbal Festival is set in Utrecht, Holland and will be happening on January 26, 2019. They like to pride themselves on icy cool beats and warm hearts.
