Aren’t we getting a little tired of giant festivals that cost an arm and a leg?
Between overpriced passes, €12 pints, and the feeling that you spend more time surviving than actually enjoying yourself, partying for several days has become a luxury. And honestly, not everyone wants to blow half a paycheck in just three days.
That’s why we wanted to tell you about Ekotone. From May 29 to 31, 2026, the festival will take place at Hameau des Pierreux in Coutarnoux, in the Yonne region of France, with a human-scale concept designed for around 300 people, including camping and parking, an affordable bar, food trucks, workshops, stalls, and an electronic lineup ranging from techno to bass music, with house, trance, break and hard techno in the mix.
While many festivals are built around excess, Ekotone seems to be betting on a different kind of experience: less overload, more connection between the people attending, and the feeling of simply celebrating together as one crowd, in short, a return to the core values of electronic music.
If you’re looking for an event where people come as much to dance as to breathe a little, meet others, and reconnect with something more genuine in the way we party, this is the festival you should choose to open the season.

The project also highlights values of friendliness, inclusivity, and care for the site itself, with a clear intention to offer a setting that feels more respectful and warmer than the ultra-standardized large-scale formats. As for ticketing, Friday is priced at €35, Saturday at €40, Sunday at €20, the Saturday + Sunday pass at €55, and the 3-day pass at €80. Please note that Shotgun fees are not included in these prices. Ekotone is therefore putting forward a truly attractive promise, one that is becoming increasingly rare in electronic music: a festival where you are not just paying to see artists, but to experience a real weekend.
