EXIT Festival in Serbia is set to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop with : Wu-Tang Clan, Alesso, Chase & Status, Claptone, Sofi Tukker and more.
This year’s event will take place from July 6th to 9th at the magnificent 17th-century Petrovaradin fortress, one of the world’s best festival sites.
Wu-Tang Clan, the legendary hip-hop group, will headline the festival, and their first album “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” is considered one of the most influential albums of all time. This album will also celebrate its 30th anniversary in Novi Sad.
Other artists announced include The Prodigy, Skrillex, Viagra Boys, Keinemusik, CamelPhat, Indira Paganotto, Hot Since 82 and Vintage Culture.
Chase & Status, icons of d’n’b, are also part of the festival lineup. They are one of the most notorious acts on the scene with a loud live show, legendary residencies in Ibiza, and the timeless album RTRN II JUNGLE that has made them stars. Stockholm’s producer and DJ, Alesso, quickly rose to worldwide fame with his second single “Calling (Losing My Mind)” with One Republic and Swedish House Mafia, reaching the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, two-time champions of the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 list of the world’s best DJs, will celebrate two decades of absolute domination on the electronic music scene, followed by the shamanic deep house maestro Claptone. Then comes the jungle-pop duo Sofi Tukker, known for their energetic live performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Glastonbury, followed by Turkish producer, hitmaker, and DJ Burak Yeter with almost a billion views on YouTube.
EXIT Festival is one of the world’s largest independent festival organizations, and 2022 was a record year with 26 events held across Europe and Asia, attracting more than a million visitors.
