!K7 Music is a multi-faceted music company based in Berlin, London and New York.
We are home to five in-house labels: !K7 Records, Strut, AUS, 7K! and Ever Records.
Through our Label Services team we provide global marketing, sales and distribution services to a like-minded group of labels from around the world including Luaka Bop, R&S, Rush Hour, Sonar Kollektiv, International Anthem and many more. We also offer artist direct services to help artists independently manage all aspects of a release.
Our management division looks after a range of artists including Tricky, DJ Tennis, Lafawndah and Lotic.
We represent a wide range of independent artists and labels for sync and licensing including custom composition for advertising, TV and film.
!K7 started life as a music-video production company in 1985, working with independent artists including Nick Cave, Mudhoney and Einstürzende Neubauten. Then in 1993 after several successful X-Mix albums, we launched the pioneering DJ-Kicks mix series. Twenty five years later DJ-Kicks remains one of the most respected and prestigious mix series worldwide.
In 1996 !K7 Records began releasing artist albums and has since releases an array of progressive projects from across the electronic music spectrum. We broadened our musical range in 2001 by welcoming leading specialist label Strut to our inhouse label group. And in 2013, leading electronic label AUS joined us to help develop long term artist projects from the next generation of electronic artists and producers.
The 2000s saw !K7 grow into the company we are today through the launch of our artist and label services division, the development of our international sync and licensing team and our artist management department. In 2017 we launched a sister label: 7K!, specialising in modern classical and composition and in 2019 we completed our label group through the re-launch of Ever Records: an imprint dedicated to jazz.
