Stahlwerk Düsseldorf – The steel mill has existed as an event location since December 1993 and is located in the rooms of the imposing former Mannesmann residence in the old, traditional industrial area of Düsseldorf – Lierenfeld.

During the remodeling and renovation of the premises, particular importance was attached to preserving the work and industrial character of the steel mill, but still transforming the building into a lively place that is unique in the Düsseldorf area. The heart of the steel mill is the 858 m² hall including a 153 m² fixed stage. The steelworks lives up to its multifunctionality in that, depending on the event, this hall can also be divided into a 471 m² or a 307 m² event area. The “Café” with an area of 235 m² is located on the ground floor and offers direct access to the hall. The “Club” of the steel mill is located on the 1st floor and covers an area of approx. 248 m² including a fixed stage. Just like the “Café”, the “Club” has direct access to the hall. In 2009 the outside area of the steel mill was converted into the beach area “Treibgut”. The “flotsam” is a symbol of an authentic beach atmosphere. Beach chairs, 1,000 m² of sand, a pool, cabanas, palm trees, exotic plants, cocktails, numerous culinary delights, campfires, sun sails and a variety of extraordinary beach oases make the dream of pure relaxation and recreation a reality. The uses of “flotsam” are very diverse. It can be staged in a variety of ways for pure leisure pleasure and company events as well as for summer parties. A major advantage of this over 1,000 m² open-air sandy beach is that in the event of a summer rain, the event can be moved to the adjacent hall of the steel mill.
