Parisian musician, composer and producer Saycet releases the official music video for 'Messa Solaris', at The Palace of Versailles!
Saycet releases the official music video for ‘Messa Solaris‘! It was filmed over the course of seven days and seven nights at The Palace of Versailles.
‘Messa Solaris’ use the original instruments and natural acoustics of The Palace of Versailles. It sees Saycet collaborates with organist Alexandra Bartfeld and the vocal ensemble, Les Métaboles.
This project received high praise across Europe. Indeed, it gained national media support from LCI, France 3, France Musique, and more.
“In 2020, the Château de Versailles invited me to create a piece based on its musical and visual heritage. As I was deep into the production of my new album at the time, I suggested going the opposite route: starting with a piece from the album and composing a variation inspired by the heritage of the palace. We chose Solaris, which, as a reference to the sun, was a natural fit for Versailles” – Saycet
The music video for Messa Solaris was created by the French production house, Sourdoreille. It is highlighted by atmospheric and long-tracking shots. Therefore, it takes the viewer on a visit to the palace’s breathtaking locations.
“I made the space my own. I also made sound prints in each of the rooms to capture the different reverbs. At least 90% of the final track was recorded in the castle using its architectural and sonic elements” – Saycet
