Balaton Sound 2019 broke records!
The most incredible waterfront festival in Europe had a whopping 172,000 visitors this year to celebrate the gorgeous Lake Balaton!
Imagine that, 172,000 people gathering to focus on sustainability and living in harmony, which is Balaton Sound’s biggest goal. With their eco-conscious program, the festival had a tree-planting ceremony that provided 10 trees to Zamardi.
With that, the festival had a brand new venue as well named “The Club,” where, according to the founder and main organizer of the festival Norbert Lobenwein, is the place “where the underground electronic music renaissance could be heard,” inviting the likes of Marco Carola, Matador, and Hernan Cattaneo to perform from sunset to sunrise in front of more than 1,500 people!
In retrospect of the event, Chief Organizer Zoltan Fulop states, “In the international festival palette, Balaton Sound has always occupied a unique place with its outstanding services, waterfront and water-based venues and star headliners. However, this year’s Balaton Sound was even better, with an even stronger VIP life at the festival.”
Mark your calendars as soon as now, because Balaton Sound 2020 is happening from July 8 to 12 in Zamardi!
