Octave One has a new EP!

“Musically we are exploring the ‘power or powerlessness people feel over the things that shape their world.”

That is how Octave One is describing their new EP entitled “Locus Of Control Volume 2.”

For this new release of Octave One, they’re following their huge performances in Piknic Electronik Montreal, Movement Festival, Dimensions Festival, and many more to celebrate their successful 2019 season.

Octave One has been in the industry for more than 30 years, and this time, they want to describe the psychological concept referring to how strongly people believe they have control over their own experiences and situations in life. Part 1 showcases euphoric piano stabs and uplifting drum lines, while Part 2 is more propulsive techno.

The two powerful tracks in Part 2 include “Afrotech,” which is a seven-minute techno adventure all about sleek, crisp, and twisted synths, while “Detune” is more futuristic with metallic drums.
