We all love when we see our favorite artists give back to the community, right?
Recently, artist Oliver Heldens made a remarkable contribute to reducing ocean pollution as Plastic Soup Foundation’s newest ambassador. Collaborating with the organization, Oliver Heldens has helped raise over 10,000 euros through the sale of the “MBRC the Ocean bracelet.”
“No plastic waste in our water,” is what the Plastic Soup Foundation aims for, so the bracelet was made from recycled plastic debris like fishing rope and other waste turned into regenerated nylon.
Oliver Heldens decided to join the foundation because of his love for the ocean, in his words, “The sea is like a song, I like to keep it beautiful till the end. Join me and make our oceans beautiful again.”
As for Maria Westerbos, the Director and Founder of the Plastic Soup Foundation, she said, “We are very proud that Oliver Heldens is now part of Plastic Soup Foundation’s ambassadors. We think that collaborating with an artist like him and his audience will help us make a difference. We hope to see more artists and musicians join us in this fight!”
