Tour Maubourg is back on track with a brand new album signed on the label Pont Neuf Records! Discover the melancholic 'Paradis Artificiels'.
There is on Tour-Maubourg, an eternal desire to translate the feeling of love into music. After several EPs on Pont Neuf, FHUO (ie. label of Folamour), Happiness Therapy, FINA, and Salin, the Belgian producer expatriated in Paris finally unveils his first album, Paradis Artificiels.
With this album, he refers to Baudelaire’s poem, to which he links his melancholic music, who wrote: “common sense tells us that things on earth exist only in very few places, and that true reality is only in dreams”.
The first EPs of the producer were essentially turned towards club music, Paradis Artificiels oscillates between the atmospheres which made the success of these previous releases and those of a studio album.
Composed of eight electro tracks full of downtempo and house sound researches, always flirting with the jazz sounds that made the producer’s paw, this first album invites us to a journey in the lineage of St Germain, Massive Attack, or Nicolas Jaar.
For the past 3 years, Tour-Maubourg has never ceased to attract the praise of its peers and the support of a growing public. The one who was described by Trax Magazine from the release of his 1st EP in 2017 as “the new hope of Parisian house” is today revealed as “the flagship of French house” (Tsugi), making him one of its best current representatives.
