The artist agency Frills needs your support on this fundraiser. The goal: a better future for youth in Berlin. Check it out!
Frills presents the 2022 New Year’s Dance, its new fundraising campaign for youth in Berlin.
Frills is working on this campaign with The Karuna Bleibe. It is a residential home in Berlin for unaccompanied minor refugees and German youth with no home or place in society. Many of the residents struggle with addiction or come from troubled and traumatic backgrounds. When the ‘rules’ of other institutions have failed them, Karuna Bleibe offers home and the opportunity to set a new course for the future.
The donation will be spent on a project with the young boys that they want to start in January 2022. They want to rebuild broken furniture, paint the walls with the help of a graffiti artist and build a couch for the living room. It is a Do-It-Yourself project and they will do it from the scratch together with the boys.
About this, they said “To rebuild and paint their home in our institution is a way to make them accept the place even more as a home and seeing things that they produced can higher the level of personal self-esteem. In the long run, it makes them want to rebuild themselves and creates a feeling of belonging somewhere. It also strengthens the relationships between the boys in their home. That is a first step to becoming a part of the society and starting a major change.”
You can follow the campaign through its Instagram page, to track its progress.
“Setting our intentions for the year ahead, we want to spread some positive energy and support outside of our industry to a place where it’s greatly needed.“- Frills
