When we say we’re watching a real DJ with long streams, this is exactly the kind of set we mean. Let’s skip the fact that it’s UNVRS (yes, we do love Ibiza, but… the hyper-clubs and their prices aren’t really our thing). We’re here to talk music.
There are some big IDs, and a few choices that genuinely surprise us — especially coming from Carl Cox. For instance, Morenita by Hugel — yes, it fits the vibe of the venue… but still: that’s a DJ’s job, isn’t it? To adapt to the crowd!
Anyway: Carl Cox. He can play whatever he wants. His technique is flawless, and purists wouldn’t dare question a single choice from his tracklist.

Carl Cox recorded a 7-hour live set during his Sunday night residency at UNVRS on July 27, 2025. The set is now available on Apple Music in Spatial Audio. UNVRS, Ibiza’s newest venue, brings sharp production, a touch of name-dropping, and more than a few phones in the air.
Our take:
Yes, the “super-club” model comes with its economic codes that can feel a bit cold. But when the music speaks, when an artist like Carl tells a musical story and takes people on a journey,you forget the phones, the prices, the 30-euro cocktails.
You stay on the dancefloor, and you listen to the sound.
