One of London’s most prolific electronic producers, ABSOLUTE (aka Anthony McGinley), releases his debut mixtape 'Wonderland' via Skint Records/BMG!
Over the past three years, ABSOLUTE (AKA Anthony McGinley) has gone from a figure in London’s LGBTQ+ underground scene to a world-class electronic music DJ, producer, and live artist.
Wonderland, out via Skint Records/BMG, is a journey through dance music: house, techno, disco, more downtempo sounds, ambient to come down. It sounds to celebrate in a period without parties.
The name of the album is an homage to “Wonderland Arena“, a place in East London where raves were held and where the greats mixed: Frankie Knuckles, The Prodigy, and Carl Cox during the happy days of acid house and the first raves. Today the place has been converted into apartments where Anthony lives and works. The single “Piano Theory” was #1 on the Music Week Cool Cuts chart and TOP 10 on the Itunes Electronic chart. It was performed by Annie Mac, Danny Howard, and Pete Tong.
ABSOLUTE. has released a string of singles in the lead up to the release of Wonderland, including his latest electrifying single ‘Sage Comme Une Image (Good As Gold)’ which Annie Mac dubbed a sunkissed celebration just in time for summer. ABSOLUTE. also recently collaborated with rising talent Bklavaand lent his production skills for their nostalgic rave edit ‘Fired Up’, which scored key ‘Friday Fire’ and ‘Future Wave’ slots on Radio 1 with spot plays across weekend and midweek show!
