As long as the dance event 'Beyond Sensation' must be postponed to 2021, ID&T comes with a creative alternative: the 'Monument of Light' show.
Saturday July 4 2020, the renewed concept ‘Beyond Sensation’ was suppose to take place, in the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Netherlands. But this summer, almost every event have to be postponed. As a result, this show will be moved to July 3rd 2021. However, ID&T hasn’t said its last word and plans a whole other surprise for you.
On July 4, 2020, the ‘Monument of Light’ show will illuminate the Johan Cruijff ArenA will be captured in a breathtaking livestream. Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano‘s set will be broadcasted for 2 hours, fitting perfectly with Sensation’s story line. No matter where you live in the world, you’ll be able to attend the event. Eric Keijer, the organizer, said to explain the beautiful concept:
“With this show, we pay tribute to everyone who has kept their spirits up during the lockdown and, above all, to encourage them to celebrate life in full glory again soon. After darkness, comes light. With this fact in mind, ‘Monument of Light’ was born. The show is a creative translation of Sensation, where artistic experience and entertainment have been at the forefront for decades.”
‘Sensation’ was established in 2000 by ID&T founder Duncan Stutterheim, and he first edition of ‘Sensation White’ took place in 2001, welcoming white-dressed participants. After that, always more and more people came to this event and ‘Sensation Amsterdam’ is sold out every year, with 40 000 visitors partying. Plus, world famous artists come to perform, such as Tiësto, Martin Garrix, or Armin van Buuren. ‘Sensation”s success is so great that this event has been entitled “The World’s Leading Dance Event”.
