Hailing from the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe ”Fel” Lozinsky and Gustavo “Guk” Rozenthal – otherwise known as Felguk – have fast established themselves as the biggest dance music act in their homeland in the 6 years they’ve been producing together under one moniker. Since 2007 they’ve been exciting ears and blowing away audiences across the world; lighting up clubs and festivals with their unique blend of electro, house, heavy low end and ‘anything goes’ attitude.
The only Brazilians to rank in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ poll for two consecutive years (2011 & 2012), they’ve already conquered legions of fans that include superstars such as David Guetta, Flo Rida, Black Eyed Peas and Madonna who have all requested the Felguk magic touch for remix work. Their relationship with the ‘Queen Of Pop’ blossomed even further when she personally selected the guys to join her as support act for the entire Brazilian leg of her MDNA world tour, performing for huge audiences in sold-out stadiums. These and other accolades have come thick and fast throughout their career; another example of the high esteem they’re held in being the world famous Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas– selecting Felguk’s massive club smash “2nite” to be their theme song for the 2010 event.
Felipe and Gustavo’s passion for electronic music stems from a young age and they have maintained this love ever since. Always remaining true fans at the same time as producing and performing, they concern themselves with far more than simply making a mark in the pop world; constantly honing their talents and pushing themselves towards perfection. They draw influence from all over the world and this is shown not least in the company they keep when in the studio; collaboration highlights like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, LA dubstep kingpin 12th Planet, Australia’s top house export Dirty South, one of the UK’s hottest properties Example and Israel’s trance masters Infected Mushroom all prove that these two boys from Brazil have their ears to the ground and fingers firmly on the pulse of the global dance scene.
From tours with Madonna and the likes of electro mainstay Benny Benassi to major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland, Felguk have already taken their raucous live sets to countless audiences across the planet and shown their expertise when up behind the decks and in the mix. With further touring planned in 2013 to Brazil, Europe, Oceania and the United States and a debut set at Rock In Rio as well as their newest EP release – ‘Slice & Dice’, this duo is truly ready to bring a new signature to their already acclaimed characteristic sound.
