Independent record label and events brand picnic reveals details of a hedonistic one day festival involving art, music and culture in East London.
After creating an unforgettable and unique community spirit in 2020, beloved London label and party crew picnic had no choice but to grow the concept into something further, and develop the experience into an exploration of art, local culture, and music on a grander scale, in the form of Someplace, Somewhere, on July 17th.
The theme, goal, and driving force behind this year’s Someplace, Somewhere is to “give something back” to the creative communities who have been hit the hardest from the pandemic. The picnic crew wants to invite local and budding creatives to collaborate and feature their works at one of the on-site festival villages. They are welcoming artists in all forms and creative platforms who would benefit from showcasing and selling their works at the festival.
picnic will be working with BioSURE UK who will be providing a full solution to ensure all COVID-19 regulatory testing processes are adhered to for the event. In keeping with the theme of giving back to the community, picnic are proud to also be partnered with mental health charity Chasing the Stigma, which offers a multi-platform service to people struggling with mental health.
“Someplace, Somewhere aims to bring people together through art and music. Our diverse collaborations and bespoke tailoring for the festival will create an amazing collective vibe where some of Europe’s elite DJs and artists can join forces. Step into the unknown where music and art coincide on a parallel pathway” says picnic co-founder Andy Luff.
