The two day festival encompassed the “Business Fair” where Pioneer Portugal were showing off the newly launched CDJ-850 alongside the CDJ-2000 and DJM-2000, the daytime “Conference” where heavy music and clubland industry issues were debated and at night the delegates were joined by the Portuguese party animals and danced until dawn with a lineup that included Above and Beyond, Wally Lopez, Sharam and Techno godfather Derrick May.

DJsounds spoke to Portuguese hot-shots Pete Tha Zouk, DJ Tommy and DJ Brazen of United Friends, Nuno Bessa, Italy’s Luca Ricci and Pioneer Portugal’s own Paulo Ribeiro.
