The beloved House Gospel Choir return with two exciting remixes entitled ‘God Is Trying’, from HGC resident Harrsn and Baltimore house talent Karizma, out 26th February and 5th March respectively!
Inspired by Quincy Jones’s 1986 Gospel classic ‘Maybe God Is Tryin’ To Tell You Somethin’’ from ‘The Color Purple’ Soundtrack, Harrsn delivers an infectious and uplifting 90s house rework, combining a driving bassline with feelgood piano chords and the choir’s always on-point gospel vocals with his remix.

Both cuts will feature on the forthcoming Special Edition for HGC’s debut album RE//CHOIRED, alongside further reworks from Zed Bias, Funk Butcher, Mike Delinquent & more. The acclaimed 14-track LP was born out of a love for sound system culture, the healing power of house music and the group seeking to channel the magic of people working together to raise the vibrations.
