Boston Bun linked up with Lucrecia Taormina on a new audiovisual world, to present 10 unique visuals, 1 per single, on YouTube and Vevo!
‘There’s A Nightclub Inside My Head‘ is more than just an album. It is an audiovisual world created by Boston Bun and the talented young artist, Lucrecia Taormina.
It was Lucrecia who approached Boston with a photo idea during the summer of 2020. The result, the album cover photo with the vintage car, impressed Boston. He knew at that moment that she was the perfect person to translate those sounds into images and understand his vision. He gave her the keys to the art direction and a free hand while he focused on the music.
With the music and the visuals, they want to create a kind of safe space in the head of those who listen to the album. An imaginary club where you can be whoever you want to be and where you can go whenever you want. With this first album, Boston Bun’s main goal is to give people a sense of freedom and hedonism, and to dance on a dancefloor with their eyes closed. Something we all miss, don’t we?
« Sometimes it’s good to take a break, sometimes not. If you were on planet Earth in 2020, you know what I’m talking about. I took this time to visit the disco in my head. The last one open, in fact. The booth, the sound system, the stairs, the bar, the smell, the sound of my left shoe on the sticky floor, everything was exactly as I left it. It moved me to be honest, so I started thinking about the right soundtrack that could fit in that space. So there you have it. I hope you enjoy the night.» Boston Bun
Lucrecia breaks down barriers and was the only director to be nominated (and win) a UK Music Video Award last year. Her work has been widely recognized in the commercial and music world with recognition at the YDA (Young Director Award), 1.4 and Ciclope at Cannes. She has worked with Missy Elliot, Bree Runway and Ashnikko.
Last but not least, the album will be celebrated from June 21st to July 4th via an exhibition of photos by the artist and illustrator of the album Lucrecia at the Galerie Fisheye (Paris). In the meantime, check out the release HERE!
