Icarus has previously contributed to the prestigious BBC Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ and was awarded for Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World.
Make sure your emotions are in tact, because Bristolian brother duo Icarus, composed of Tom and Ian Griffiths, is ready to share their monumental journey together with their newest song “Brotherhood.”
Icarus has previously contributed to the prestigious BBC Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ and was awarded for Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World, recently also releasing their ‘This Must Be The Place’ EP with hit single “Sirens,” but “Brotherhood” pays tribute especially to their special bond as siblings.
When introducing the song, Icarus states, “With ‘Brotherhood’ we feel like we’re coming into a fresh period of our lives, both creatively and personally. Last year we’d become so wrapped up in our joint career that sometimes we forget to be brothers. Writing this tune feels like a representation of us reconnecting as brothers and really enjoying the musical journey we’re on.”
Emotions will definitely run high with the song’s rolling yet pacey percussion and enchanting synth melodies, reflecting both relationship and adventure.
Besides the release of their new song, Icurus has been busy with finishing up their tour with Rufus du Sol, travelling around North America and the UK. They were also recently at Manchester’s The Deaf Institute, London’s XOYO, Bristol’s Thekla, and Dublin’s Button Factory.
