With “I Want You”, the duo returns to their electronic and alternative roots, with years of experience as performers and songwriters. “We are coming back to what we love,” Aino said. “It was the most quiet period we have had in over 10 years so it’s crazy to make a dance track. We felt the need to do something more up-tempo.”
As for the release of “I Want You”, the single is distributed by Ultra Records with worldwide rights, excluding Nordic countries. The song is available for pre-order and can be streamed on their streaming platforms. Icona Pop is set to release their new album, titled ‘Club Romantech’, accompanied by a tour of concerts and DJ sets across North America and Europe. The album’s first single, “I Want You”, was released on 17th February 2021. It is followed by three more singles, “Faster”, “Stick Your Tongue Out” and “Fall in Love”, all of which will be released in 2021. The last single to be released is “Where Do We Go” on 2nd June 2021, and the album ‘Club Romantech’ is set to drop on either 16th or 23rd June 2021.
