The UK house phenomenon,The Empire was one of the first clubs up north I had ever played and not only was the sound the vibe and the room amazing.
He’s a young and fresh talent from the North-East, but that doesn’t mean that Denney isn’t all about the 90s music. The UK house phenomenon is releasing his new track “Empire,” which he says “is inspired by and named after the club which [he] originally started out playing in at 17 years old.”
Although he is now emerging as one of the top house artists in the industry, Denney actually started his career in 2001 at The Empire in Middlesbrough. Some artists who performed there previously include Roger Sanchez, who describes Empire as “an iconic venue in its heyday – one of [his] favorite places to play for years and still holds a special place in [his] heart” and Erick Morillo who says, “The Empire was one of the first clubs up north I had ever played and not only was the sound the vibe and the room amazing, I had some of my best sets of my life in that room. So lucky to have been a part of this amazing piece of history.”
