“Letting People Go” (Diplo Remix) is a track that you need to check out now!
The original, which is by Carnage featuring Prinze George, has totalled up to 7,500,000+ streams to date, so Grammy award-winning star Diplo decided to put his own spin on it!
With his version, Diplo makes “Letting People Go” a more bouncy, dance floor focused tracks that takes back some of the elements of the original while still highlighting the vocals of Prinze George. When talking about why he decided to add his own sping on the song, Diplo jokes, “I liked this song a lot and I really wantCarnage to owe me a favor cause one day I might be in jail and need bail money.”
Carnage, on the other hand, explains, “#LPG is the most important record I have ever made. My brother Diplo hit me up the day I dropped the record and said he needed to get his hands on it. Diplo really came through with this remix and created a dance floor banger.”
“Letting People Go” is a track really close to Carnage’s heart, as he dedicates the “song for change” to “all the families that have been split in border towns all over the US.” The song is originally Carnage’s personal journey moving from Nicaragua to Guatemala, through Mexico, and eventually the United States. As an ambassador for RAICES Foundation, which advocates for free and low-cost legal services to immigrating families based in Texas, Carnage even donated some of his new track’s revenue to the foundation.
