4 reasons to attend the XMAS edition of Peacock Festival

Welcome to Clubbing TV, everyone! This is Clubbing Trends, and I’m your host Gianna Llanes. We’re focusing on one special festival for today’s episode, especially because they have an extraordinary Christmas edition on Saturday, December 15 of this year from 10pm to 7am the next day!
The Peacock Society returns with The Fabulous Parade of the Xmas Peacock, their annual winter edition to the famous Parisian electronic music festival, held in Porte de la Villette. Showcasing the best underground house and techno, this year’s edition is no exception, flaunting the likes of ‘The iconic Dixon’, ‘The mighty Marcel Dettmann’, ‘The magnificent Rone live’ and many, many more across two fantastic stages. The Peacock Society’s winter outing is an extensive celebration of electronic music that extends beyond DJ sets and live performances to visual arts, films screenings, talks and panel discussions, all focused on the culture.

Reason #1: Fantastic Stage Design
Peacock Festival has the most extraordinary Stage Design!
For their winter edition, Peacock Festival is taking a new residency in Paris! You can party along 8,000 square meters of space, held between two scenes of incredible visuals by the two kings of design – 1024 Architecture and Superbien!
1024 has been developing the most amazing set for the past ten years, mixing both art and architecture. For this year’s Peacock Festival, they’re presenting monumental structure in levitation MAD-Orb, which the artists will also be a part of!
Superbien, on the other hand, is one of Peacock’s most loyal stage-designers and continually explores, diverts, and reshapes the boundaries of the world of entertainment and technology. Their team is constantly evolving, so it’ll be a surprise what kind of unique worlds they’re immersing soon!

Reason #2 and #3: Techno Masters and New Talents
Let’s move on to the music! You have to go to Peacock Festival to listen to the techno masters and to discover new talents!
Peacock is offering various talents that you have to listen to!
On the Solar Stage, which is designed by Superbien, you have artists Rone Live, Hot Chip Megamix, and techno master Roman Flugel. Performing as well is Mount Kimbie DJ, who was revealed in the London scene back in 2010. He has recently released his third opus entitled “Love What Survivors” which has a unique electronic sound, and since then gained the supports of names like James Blake aka King Krule and Nina Kraviz. And, rounding up the Solar Stage lineup is new talent Epsilove, who is a rookie of Parisian label Antinote and has been providing his poetic pop sound. He has been famous for collaborations, but for Peacock, it’ll be all about him!
As for the MAD-Orb Stage, well, they’re taking it to the next level.
MAD-Orb’s lineup includes Lena Willikens, Lorenzo Senni live, and new talents Jorrdee and Timothee Joly from Sahara Hardcore Records crew, but let me tell you about techno masters Marcel Dettmann and Rodhad, as well as new talent Retro X who will be there as well!
Marcel Dettman is a label icon and legendary resident of Berghain. He has become a key artist in the current techno scene with his dark sets, eclecticism, and precision. The German will be there in Paris for the Peacock Christmas party!
Rodhad, on the other hand, is a major figure in the Dystopian label. He shares his dramatic and immersive universe through a refined selection. With the rise of dark techno and percussive beats, his tunes are perfect for hours on the dance floor!
As for Retro X, the new talent you have to watch out for, he likes to say his music is “A mix of emotional and drill, Chicago music.” According to his label, they describe Retro X as “This young man, who defines his own style and inundates Soundcloud for some time. He’s a rapper from Melun based in Toulouse and his latest project is called Heroes, which is 18 tracks released just last March!”
