It’s time for the 2018 annual business report!
The International Music Summit just released their annual IMS Business report, which is an in-depth economic study of the Electronic Music Industry that covers all aspects of the genre. Author Kevin Watson served all the facts this time around!
Some interesting points he served? In North America, the music genre revenue grew 12.8% in 2017, but Dance/Electronic music share specifically in the US and Canada fell. In Europe, dance share of recorded music also fell in Germany and the UK compared to the gains in the past years. And in Asia? Well, a Nielsen study into music habits in Asia-Pacific found out that Koreans are most likely to listen to dance music!
