2008 was a notorious year for US artist Morgan Page, as he released one of the biggest hits of that year and one of the memorable songs in American electronic music, “The Longest Road,” which features Lissie.
This song captured the hearts of many in his generation and was a must for any party – he created a movement in the United States!
Now, as the song celebrates its tenth anniversary, Morgan Page decided to release the first of three special edition remix packs dedicated to the tune! Three huge artists put their own spin on the song, namely, Steff De Campo, Vicetone, and Deadmau5.
Steff De Campo’s remix is the latest one to be released, because the 2018 listeners are the first to grab a taste of it! Beatport’s #1 star from Holland turns the song into a Future House cut with piano house elements and squelching bass FX.
As for Vicetone, we heard his remix in 2012, but it is only officially released now. He puts a melodic room twist on the song with sweeping synths and driving bass. It has become one of the biggest remixes around the world!
And of course, we can’t forget Deadmau5’s 2008 remix that was Grammy-nominated for “Best Remixed Recording, Non Classical!” He gives Lissie’s voice a spine-tingly effectiveness showing why this is one of the most celebrated remixes in American music.
