One of the UK's most diverse and inclusive festivals, 51st Festival, formerly known as 51st State, has announced its full lineup for the 2023 edition, which will take place on August 5th at Copthall Playing Fields in the heart of London

Celebrated for delivering the best in classic and emerging dance music, the festival promises to showcase the technicolored heritage of dance, exploring genres like Soulful, Classic, Tech, Afro, Garage, Disco, Soul, RnB, Dancehall, Soca, Amapiano, Drum & Bass, and more.

The festival will feature over 100 dance music icons, legends, and party starters across six stages, and promises to be a day of hedonistic joy. Some of the acts performing at the festival include the legendary Ibiza label and events promotion company Bobby and Steve, who will host Louie Vega and David Morales’ DJ and production collaboration Kings of House NYC, famed NYC party starters Body & Soul, French ambassador of stylish club sounds Dimitri from Paris, and DJ Spen, who fuses jazz, disco, gospel & spiritual house. Barbara Tucker will host the main stage.

The legendary Notting Hill Carnival sound system Rampage will host an incredible mix of live and DJ talent, including American DJ, record producer and actor DJ Jazzy Jeff, vibraphonist/vocalist Roy Ayers, and the celebrated sound system The Heatwave. Legendary old-school house and garage promoters Backto95 will host some of the biggest names in UK music, including Daft Punk collaborator and Grammy winner Todd Edwards, legends of the UK pirate radio underground Heartless Crew, Grant Nelson, and Norris ‘Da Boss’ Windross. Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont, Majestic, and a special surprise guest billed as the UK’s number 1 Garage DJ will also join the lineup.

Tech-house London party leaders La Fiesta stage will host Grammy award-winning New York house master Roger Sanchez and Grammy Award-nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry, alongside Jess Bays and Catz ‘n Dogz. Vibrant and prolific DJs, producers, and stage hosts The Dolly Rockers will present the innovative and pioneering British DJ Norman Jay, alongside disco/funk and house master from Perth, Australia, Dr Packer.

The Internet radio station House FM’s VIP stage will be ringing in the funky, soulful house charge with Chicago house producer Mike Dunn, international house DJ, producer, tastemaker, and label boss DJ Pioneer, and one of house music’s most important vocalists Robert Owens, among others.

In addition to the heady roster of the best in UK and International music, 51st Festival boasts an unmatched atmosphere, with an all-day party in the heart of London, brand-new food vendors, and easily accessible by tube or car, train, and bus, with plenty of on-site car park spaces.

“We are excited to return to our new home Copthall Playing Fields, Barnet where we plan to build and grow on the success of 2022. We will bring you one of London’s premier multi-genre dance music festivals with state-of-the-art production and high-calibre international and UK artists,” said festival organiser Michael Hughes.
