Some parties exist just to fill a date. Others feel like the line-up was actually thought through, not simply put together.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, 59 Bel Records takes over KM25 with a clear and focused bill: Rolando, Juste S and Ian Maur. Three names, three generations, three ways of approaching techno, brought together by a simple idea: connecting Detroit’s legacy with a contemporary Parisian scene that is doing the work seriously, without folklore or posture.

Rolando’s presence alone gives the night its weight. A major figure in Detroit techno, former member of Underground Resistance and the artist behind the classic Knights of the Jaguar, he belongs to a generation that should still be placed at the centre of line-ups, not only as historical reference points, but as living presences. Detroit is not a footnote for serious articles about techno. It is a foundation. A culture. A debt that many European scenes have not always acknowledged with enough humility.

Alongside him, Juste S brings another energy: that of a new Parisian generation moving forward without needing to overperform. Recently seen alongside Laurent Garnier at the Essaim parties, she represents a wave of artists building something with taste, patience and a kind of precision that feels increasingly necessary.

Ian Maur completes the bill, both as an artist and as one of the driving forces behind 59 Bel Records. A resident of the label, La Gare / Le Gore and the Techno Import record store events, he embodies the way the label approaches music: with real attention to sound, trajectories and connections between artists. At 59 Bel Records, you can feel the love for vinyl, but without the tired guilt-trip aimed at those who do not play exclusively on records. The point is the musical culture behind the gesture.

That is also why this night deserves attention. In a scene where too many programmes end up looking interchangeable, it matters to give strength to the pioneers who built the language, but also to the younger organisations doing the work properly. The ones who respect artists, media, teams and audiences. The ones who do not treat music as a simple pretext for content. The ones who understand that a good party starts long before the doors open.

We know Ian Maur and 59 Bel Records well, and we have rarely felt so respected in our work. That matters. Because a scene is not held together only by the names printed on flyers. It is also held together by ways of working, relationships, trust, and the invisible seriousness behind events.

Musically, the night promises something dense, precise and carefully built. Rolando brings the roots and the living force of Detroit. Juste S opens a window onto what Paris is still able to build. Ian Maur connects the dots between label, record shop, club and local culture.

A night between roots and present, without heavy nostalgia or forced novelty. Just a line-up that knows why it exists.
